John Lewis partnership and take back scheme continues for another year. When you buy from JL they will offer to take back your old items. We along with several other charities collect these items and then reuse them. In 2017 we reused 4.5 tonnes of furniture from JL that may have gone to landfill otherwise.

The Essential Living Fund (ELF) to help those struggling in Essex is renewed for a fourth year. This fund has been a lifeline for over 4000 families/individuals through Lighthouse and many more through other charities in Essex.

Community Day at Brentwood County High – 7th July see 20+ young people coming to help us for the day.
“V Festival” clearance in August, we collected 160 chairs, 20 tents, 30 sleeping bags, 20 inflatable Lillos, much went to other charities working with Homeless people.
We give cots, buggies and other nursery equipment to Moses Basket, a charity based in Pilgrims Hatch who in turn gift the items to young mums.

Partnership with Stellisons starts for re-using second-hand appliances. Stellersons in
in Basildon send us items they collect from customers for us to reuse rather than
them going to landfill.
Lottery grant us £10k towards a new van at our joint startup charity, TCLReUSE in Ilford.
We delivery 57 Christmas Hampers to local people nominated by other local charities.
